ULTRAVOX - warren cann would want to shoot midge ure, billy currie woudl want to stab midge ure, john foxx would want to...

EMERSON LAKE & PALMER - pompous and hubristically ott in their prime, keith emerson's suggestion of touring with a full orchestra 31 years ago, cost the band $5 million ( about 40 million in todays money at least), thereby creating a festering grudge scenario that would get worse as time went on...

VELVET UNDERGROUND - THE MUSICIAN'S choice, a few deaths over the years, plus lou's constant ability to wind the shit up out of every living organism makes it a possibility on the scale of rocking horse shit.

SPANDAU BALLET - the horror would actually be quite entertaining, given the lead singer's audacity to sue gary kemp- songwriter- for royalty "unfariness", and lose in the process. Alas, such a potential bloodbath...

YES- the mess that this group of nearly 18 musicians - including those that left, came back, le...- is now in, which includes sub clauses within clauses and subscripts to THOSE clauses, means that we can all breathe a sigh of relief at not having to witness wakeman, anderson, howe, squire and co wearing some of THE WORST clothes ever to grace the rock pantheon. As for the music...

GENESIS - gabriel is too otherworldy and merlin-like bearded out to go back and do THE LAMB LIES DOWN ON BROADWAY. Phil collins is now the epitome of uncool and always looked like a pretend cheap villain...

Why do birds suddenly appear?

Because you keep throwing away
your sandwiches, karen

WINGS

What do you call a dog with wings?

Linda McCartney

GUNS 'N ROSES

Remember that hoo-ha over G&R
being racists?

Did they never get round to pulling
Slash's hair back off his face to see
he was black?!

apparently guns and roses' reputed comeback has already been leaked onto the net. the net (sic) result of this has been that oral sex, i mean axl rose, has gone into hiding again..

JACKSON 5 - unthinkable and unlikely...highly unlikely

THE SPECIALS - coventry's finest mostly hate each other. Besides, have you seen the state of jerry dammers!?

DEXY'S MIDNIGHT RUNNERS (any line-up) - birmingham's working class heroes, fronted by an incomprehensible frontman with dangerous levels of intensity, ended up in a YES-liek predicament, with original co-writer kevin archer being understandably pissed off when he left, only to find kevin rowland ripping off his ideas and doing come on eileen... too many cooks, most of them yet again pissed at rowland.

Flava Flav is a joke. He appeared on a reality show on ITV, complete with his big watch.

To paraphrase Chuck D "PE may mean a lot to you, but they don't mean sh*t to me"

DEPECHE MODE (vince clarke version) or even with alan wilder - can you imagine vince and the boys doign the first album at this stage in their existance?....

its not beyond the means of imagination to imagine ALAN WILDER doing their oveure with them, considering that a lot of DM'S meisterwerks were with him at the desk, but theyve only got enough energy for two more albums and martin still hasnt apologised or acknowledged monseiur wilder for past graft. However, word has it that he may be involved in a producer's role with them in the future...
